Descripción y detalle de las actividades

  • Lead and coordinate the implementation and execution of continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Supervise and develop team members involved in continuous improvement activities.
  • Facilitate Lean, Kaizen, and process improvement events across manufacturing and administrative functions.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify improvement opportunities and enhance operational performance.
  • Manage the Policy Deployment process, key performance indicators (KPIs), and strategic performance tracking, including the maintenance of the plant X-Matrix.
  • Lead the deployment and sustainability of Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) practices to ensure ongoing performance improvement and achievement of operational goals.
  • Promote a Lean culture throughout the organization by providing training, coaching, and support on Lean methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
  • Support problem-solving and root cause analysis activities across manufacturing and business functions.
  • Maintain visual management systems, performance scorecards, audit records, 5S programs, communication boards, and other continuous improvement documentation.
  • Ensure the effective execution of continuous improvement audits and the ongoing development of the 5S program.
  • Monitor and sustain improvements resulting from Kaizen events and ensure timely completion of follow-up actions.
  • Foster a productive, engaged, and results-oriented work environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives at other company locations as required.
  • Identify environmental aspects related to operational activities and ensure compliance with established controls.
  • Recommend process improvements that support the Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Report environmental risks, non-compliance issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Experiencia y requisitos

The Operating System Specialist is responsible for reducing operating costs and driving operational excellence through the implementation of Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and business processes. This role promotes a culture of continuous improvement, ensures alignment with organizational objectives, and supports sustainable operational performance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or continuous improvement.
  • Advanced English
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools (5S, Kaizen, problem solving).
  • Experience working with KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
