Import/Export Senior Supervisor

Supervise and coordinate all I/E activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and finished good. Full compliance with local and international customs regulatios, trade laws and governmental requirements. Manage customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics service providers. Review and approve import/export documentation including: commercial invoices, packing list, Certificates of origin, bills of lading, customs declarations, import and export permits, etc. Ensure accurate tariff classification and customs valuation. Monitor compliance with Free Trade Agreements (USMCA/T-MEC, and other applicable) Maintain compliance with IMMEX, SAT Certification, Annexes, and other applicable Mexican foreign trade programs (when applicable). Coordinate customs audits and maintain complete and accurate records for regulatory inspections. Identify compliance risks and implement corrective and preventive actions. Develop and maintain Standard Operation Procedures related to import/export processes. Collaborate with purchasing, production, finance, quality and planning departments to ensure uninterrupted supply cahin operations. Analyze logistics performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. Monitor KPI's related customs clearance, transportation, delivery performance and compliance. Train and mentor on custom regulations and trade compliance requirements. Stay current with changes in international trade regulations. Verify compliance with country of origin regulations and preferential trade programs. Coordinate internal and external compliance audits. Support investigations related to customs or trade compliance issues. Ensure company policies align with current legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications / Experience Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Logistics, Foreign Trade, Business Administration, or a related field. Intermediate to advanced written and verbal English communication skills. Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Minimum of 2 years of experience in international trade, customs compliance, logistics, or a related area. Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification and HS Codes. Understanding of import/export regulations and customs procedures is preferred. Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing business needs. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and compliance. Positive attitude and customer-service orientation. Reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance. Proficient analytical and decision-making skills. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and monitor daily activities within the assigned area. Provide guidance and support to team members as needed. Review and analyze data related to trade compliance, logistics, or operational processes. Prepare, maintain, and verify documentation required for import/export operations. Support the management of certificates of origin and related documentation. Identify and apply applicable trade programs, preferential treatments, or regulatory benefits in accordance with established procedures. Assist in maintaining compliance with customs regulations, internal policies, and company procedures. Generate reports and provide recommendations based on operational and compliance data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and compliant trade operations. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
